Create job description using existing materials

The job description, used internally to develop and clarify the parameters of a role. You may find that AI guidance isn’t necessary for some roles, particularly if a sufficient job description already exists. You can copy and paste job description info from any source that permits copying, such as word-processed documents, PDFs, or web pages to create a job description in StaffingManager.

To create a job description from existing material:

  1. Locate and open the existing material you want to use for the job description.
  2. Open a job requisition and click the Job description link in the Status panel on the right.
  1. Click the Add existing material button.
  2. Copy the existing text and paste into the free form text field.
  3. Save the description.
  1. If needed, click the Edit link on the top right and make any changes.
  2. If you need to share the description with other stakeholders click the Copy to clipboard icon and paste into your existing word processing or email tool.
  3. After completing your review, select Approve from the Draft status dropdown.
  4. Click Save and close.
  5. The Job requisition screen displays the Job description status as Approved.

You can click the Cancel button to return to the requisition detail screen and start over. The requisition screen displays the status as In progress.
